about

"He was renowned for his open, free-style, and critical form of comedy which integrated politics, religion, and sex. His private life was marked by substance abuse, promiscuity, as well as efforts to prevent his wife from working as a stripper. His 1964 conviction in an obscenity trial was followed by a posthumous pardon, the first in New York state history. He paved the way for future outspoken comedians, and his trial for obscenity, in which – after being forced into bankruptcy – he was eventually found not guilty, is seen as a landmark trial for freedom of speech in the US."

lyrics

So pee in this cup and smile pretty for the camera
two cops for every person
Don’t try to hide we own your DNA
now it’s open season

Ch:
Please help me to see
Am I us them or we
Fear is your disease
You’re not free you’re cheap
Don’t know which way to turn
Don’t know which friends to trust
All the shit you can eat
You’re not free

A steady diet of crow and red herring
Confusion is the sniper
Implanted obedience provided by a crowbar
A lullaby for freedom

Ch:
Please help me to see
Am I us them or we
You went down without a peep
You’re not free you’re cheap
The lies you tell yourself
And the truth that lies beneath
All the shit you can eat
You’re not free

And when you get what you deserve you’ll probably be sad
